The App

In sophomore year, as I shopped for an inevitably expensive and dated graphing calculator, I wondered: why do we keep spending this much money on calculators if we all have technologically capable phones that can do everything a calculator can?

This application is an attempt to solve that problem. It includes both a scientific and graphing calculator for students to use both in class and at home on their homework.

In addition, this app solves the greatest problem plaguing digital calculators: cheating during exams. Students have the ability to “join” a teacher’s room, where that teacher can track whether or not a student is online and in the app or not, preventing students from cheating on exams or in other controlled environments.

This app is currently in development — if you’re interested in being a beta tester, please contact me at matthew@calcxchange.org!
