Step 1: Collecting

Our goal is to repurpose old scientific and graphing calculators after their use period is over.

In terms of graphing calculator donations, we would love the donation of TI-84 calculators because of their ubiquity in high school classes that require the use of a graphing calculator. We’d also prefer TI for scientific calculator donations: the TI-30 and TI-36 lines are incredibly popular among teachers. However, we’d also love donations of other calculators of all types, including four-function calculators like the TI-108 and other scientific/graphing calculators, like those from Casio, HP and Numworks. Please contact me at matthew@calcxchange.org if you have any calculators you’d like to donate!

Step 2: Connecting

Ultimately, the donated calculators we receive are donated directly to schools. We communicate to schools, finding their need for calculators to allocate them most effectively. This also involves working with teachers listed on websites like DonorsChoose.

Step 3: Giving

Finally, the donated calculators are sent to the schools that need them and given new life!
